Graduate Design Technician/Technologist

The ideal candidate will have, as minimum, a construction focused qualification in an architectural or construction discipline. They should be proficient in the use of 3D modelling software, Autodesk Revit is preferred, and a basic knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM), ISO 19650 and its associated standards. Supplementary training can be provided to support the successful candidate. An understanding of modular construction is preferred but not essential.

In addition to becoming a key member of the technical design team, Integra are seeking an individual with an enthusiasm for design and digital collaboration, with the ability to demonstrate design flair and creative thinking. The successful candidate will be fundamental in BIM services provided by Integra including but not limited to data management, information exchange and asset modelling.

Principal Functions

  1. Assist with the development and creation of early stage concept models to support the sales, estimating and marketing departments
  2. Provide early stage design advice to the sales and pre-construction teams
  3. Advise the estimating team of potential commercial impacts following design changes
  4. Conduct early stage investigations into specialist trades and materials, advising on any impacts to the manufacturing process

Supplementary Functions

  1. Develop an understanding of the processes within the Technical team and project delivery
  2. Ensure early stage projects are aligned with client and project standards
  3. Develop architectural information to assist with complex modelling or BIM workflow tasks
  4. Further develop an existing understanding of BIM, its technologies and uses
  5. Assist all modular project teams to coordinate information with appointed disciplines and stakeholders
  6. Assist the BIM Manager in QA/QC checks of discipline models, ensuring alignment with project requirements
