HR Advisor / Manager
We are looking to recruit an experienced Human Resources Advisor/ Manager to strengthen, develop and fully integrate with our management team. The successful candidate will advise on/ manage all aspects of HR as well as providing training development for Apprentices and re-training. The role covers all aspects of our business for employed staff from the office environment to factory and sites, at our purpose-built facility in Paull, East Yorkshire.

As HR Advisor you will:
- Develop the on-boarding process to ensure that the employee and other stakeholders receive all required information, making the experience a pleasant one for the new recruit.
- Manage the employee benefits scheme including research and appraise any potential enhancements to the company benefits package.
- Provide advice to management on employment law in conjunction with external advisors in more complex cases.
- Manage employee relations and provide support to management with regard to absence, disciplinary/grievances and performance management.
- Co-ordinate training and development.
- Manage the recruitment process, supporting with adverts, interviews and selection ensuring a fair and consistent approach.
- Facilitate apprentice recruitment and utilise the apprenticeship levy and other government incentives to ensure the business maximises the full potential of the schemes available.
- Administer documentation including offer letters, contracts of employment, job descriptions and other communications as required.
- Play an active part on the CSR committee, liaising with various stakeholders within the local community including reviewing sponsorship and donation requests and making recommendations to management for budget allocation.
- Lead and participate in social events, promoting an inclusive and positive work environment.
- Be an ambassador for the organisation, promoting the good behaviours expected of the employees, leading by example.
- Review & maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the latest legislation and ISO requirements whilst remaining consistent with the employee handbook.
- Review the T&A system daily and investigate/update where required.
Essential
- CIPD level 5 or equivalent
- Relevant HR experience working within Construction or Manufacturing
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
