Celebrating 25 years of making it modular!

We’re marking a major milestone for Integra Buildings – 25 years as a successful and growing business in the modular construction industry.

So much has changed at Integra in the past quarter of a century. The company has evolved from just a handful of people to a major employer in East Yorkshire, winning significant national contracts in sectors including education, sport, healthcare and commercial.

We’ve worked with blue-chip clients in both the private and public sectors to deliver a variety of modular and anti-vandal solutions, as well as supporting charitable organisations and much more.

We’ve enjoyed many successes, gained national recognition for the work we do, and achieved sustained growth in a modular construction industry which is of ever-increasing importance to the UK economy.

Turning 25 gives us an opportunity to look back on the remarkable progress we’ve made.

Integra Modular Buildings

When Integra was founded in 1997, based in Beverley, turnover in the first year was £900,000. By 2008, that figure had risen to £7m and today turnover has reached the £40m mark.

More recently, we’ve expanded our home in Paull, East Yorkshire, and built our own head office – something we’re incredibly proud of and a building which we think showcases everything that’s great about modular design.

Our MD, Gary Parker, said: “When we launched the company back in 1997, we started by manufacturing just two units a week. That’s hard to believe when you look at us today!

“Back in those earliest days I could never have imagined what the company would look like 25 years later. Today, we are a team which is over 150 strong and we’ve been named one of Yorkshire’s 50 fastest-growing companies."

“None of this would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of every single member of our team, both past and present.”

We’ve grown our team of directors. Today, we’re expertly led by Gary and fellow directors Jim Butler, Mike Marriott, Chris Turner and Paul Tansey. As Integra continues to grow, so too does our site. When we built our new head office, we also created bespoke manufacturing facilities which doubled our production capacity. We have exciting future plans for our Paull site, which we hope to reveal soon.

This year we’ve secured a string of impressive contracts, and continue to work with some of the biggest names in UK business.

We’re close to completing a new flagship building for Triumph Motorcycles at its site in Coventry, and will also be delivering high-quality new facilities for nurses working at Southampton General Hospital.

Elsewhere, we’ll soon be on site at Penglais School in Aberystwyth – creating new classroom space for children with special educational needs.

Other projects have included a new office at McCain’s UK headquarters in North Yorkshire, and we’ve also secured an exciting new contract with More Housing to provide a one-bedroom apartment show home for the company’s development in Watford.

We’re proud to be at the forefront of the UK’s modular construction sector – and we’re equally proud to have been recognised for the quality of our work at the industry’s biggest awards. Last year, we won Contractor of the Year at the Offsite Awards – widely recognised as the Oscars of our profession.

In recent years we’ve also been named one of Yorkshire’s 50 fastest growing companies, have won Large Business of the Year at the Hull Daily Mail Business Awards, and been named in the London Stock Exchange’s 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2018 list.

Equally special to us was receiving the East Riding of Yorkshire Council Chairman’s Award in 2018. So, as we celebrate Integra at 25, here’s to an exciting and prosperous future in business. We can’t wait to see what comes next.
